SVC Students Gain Visualization Techniques at Bennington Museum

SVC students visit Bennington MuseumStudents from the Social Science Practicum and Seminar class at Southern Vermont College (SVC) recently visited the Bennington Museum. SVC Assistant Professor Renee Merges and Director of Development and Career Internships Betsy Dunham partnered with Deana Mallory, Director of Public Programs at Bennington Museum, to learn strategies for astute observation skills. Mallory facilitated a session on Visual Thinking Strategies, walking the students through their observations of Vermont artist Ronald Slayton’s piece titled “Unemployment.” The primary goal of the session was to help the students understand the importance of awareness and observation in the professional world.
