Study Abroad Process and Requirements — First Steps

Before beginning the Study Abroad Application, you will need to complete the following requirements:

STEP 1
Go to ISA Web site and choose one or two programs that meet your interests and academic path.
STEP 2
Assess your eligibility. Students eligible for study abroad will meet the following requirements:
  • Minimum of 2.5 grade-point average (GPA)*
  • Good standing with the Office of Student Life

*Some ISA programs require a GPA greater than 2.5. Carefully review all requirements prior to application.

STEP 3
Contact Student Financial Services to review your financial responsibility.
STEP 4
Meet with academic advisor to review program courses, degree audit, and logistical timing of study abroad.
STEP 5
Meet with Office of Career Development & Internships to review ALL application requirements prior to applying:
  • Request transcript from Registrar.
  • Pay $200 nonrefundable deposit – complete ONLINE or PAPER application.
ONCE YOU APPLY…
Application review takes anywhere from 3 days up to 2 weeks – depending on when you apply.
