Students in Art, Making, and Meaning Course Display Artwork
The public is invited to a reception at Southern Vermont College to view students’ artwork created in the Art, Making, and Meaning course with Artist-in-Residence Renée Bouchard. The exhibit includes several large canvases that were created in collaboration with children from Bennington Early Childhood Center and Southshire Community School.
The artworks in the exhibition were painted by mixing pigment with oil and acrylic mediums, and using wax crayon, ink, pastels, felt, and fabric on repurposed canvases. There will also be two sculptural installations on view during the reception. The reception will take place at the College’s Burgdorff Gallery on Thursday, May 4, from 12 to 1 p.m. For more information on the art exhibit, contact Bouchard at email@example.com.
