Getting Around SVC
Catch the Bus to Class
The College provides shuttle service that coincides with the academic schedule when classes are in session. These shuttles run between upper campus, lower campus and the Healthcare Education Center on a regular schedule which is posted around campus and on the links below. A private vendor (Green Mountain Express – GMX) provides additional on-campus shuttles which also accommodates the College’s academic schedule – but with connections off campus. GMX schedules and connecting routes are posted around campus and available online as well. Travel on the GMX network is always free for SVC students with your College ID.
Ride your Bike
Bicycle racks are located outside of Aldis Hall and the Everett Mansion. Residents are allowed to keep a bicycle in their room. For a small fee, the Facilities Department will install a ceiling hook for your bike if you live in Aldis, Bowen, Cady, Darby, or Ellinwood Halls. Be safe. Wear your helmet.
It’s a healthy, short walk from the residence halls to the Mansion via the path or along Mansion Drive. If walking on the roadway, just remember to wear something bright after dark and walk under the lights for safety.
