What is your major and intended career path?
I major in Radiolog Sciences at Southern Vermont College. I would like to be a Rad Tech and Ultrasound Tech in my near future and possibly becoming an Ortho Physicians Assistant.

What factors helped you choose Southern Vermont College?
I chose Southern Vermont College due the right program, the right number of people in a classroom, free tutoring and an all around beautiful campus.

How would you describe your academic experience?
I would describe my academic experience as sometimes stressful, but in the end rewarding.

Can you share a memorable experience?
A memorable experience would be when my friend and I helped start the Lacrosse Club and at the end of the year they told us it would become an NCAA Sport here at SVC.

Are there any notable accomplishments that you would like to share?

Some of my notable accomplishments include: Highest Academic First Year Student, Student Athlete of the Year, Academic Excellence Award, Highest GPA in Major and Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Year.

How do you balance athletics and academics?
Sometimes it can be hard. I have to plan things in advance and communicate with professors, coaches and faculty members to help things go smoothly. It is all about time management and finding the motivation to get things done.

Have you done any internships? If so, where did you internship and why did you select this company?
Yes, I have interned at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC) and St. Peters Hospital. St. Peters was a large hospital with new equipment, and SVMC is a smaller hospital that offered students a chance to work at the Ortho Clinic.

How long did you internship for, and what have you learned from your experience at interning for this company?
I have interned since fall of junior year until spring of senior year. I gained much experience including a lot about what I need to know to work as a professional in my field.

What advice would you give to students looking to intern at this company?
To be respectful, ask as many questions as you can and do everything you are permitted to do.
