What is your intended career path?
I graduated this May with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. I was just accepted into two M.S. programs for Athletic Training at Bridgewater State University and Seton Hall University. I have decided to attend Bridgewater State University and I start class on May 22. After finishing grad school, I plan to further my education by getting another degree so that I can teach.
What factors helped you choose Southern Vermont College?
I first chose Southern Vermont College because of the Radiology Tech program but soon switched my major to Biology. Southern Vermont College captures you from the moment you set foot here. The beautiful view and nature all around really helped with the choice. I also like the small size of the college.
How would you describe your academic experience?
My academic experience has been exceptional. I have learned so much here, not only within my major, but I have had the opportunity to take classes outside of the biology scope. I feel that this has broadened my college experience and has helped me grow as a person. Having small classes and being able to work one on one with professors has also been very beneficial to my success.
Can you share a memorable experience?
I have had so many memorable experiences here; it is hard to just think of one. The most memorable was when I spoke at opening convocation at the beginning of the fall semester. I really enjoyed the opportunity to address incoming students as well as students I have gotten to know over the years.
Are there any notable accomplishments that you would like to share?
Becoming a Student Government Association president has been a great accomplishment as well as becoming a Programming Assistant for the Office of Student Involvement and Civic Engagement.
