Online and On-Campus Summer Classes
Southern Vermont College (SVC) will be offering a variety of online and in classroom options this summer for individuals who want to earn credits toward their degree or to explore a topic for fun or professional development. Summer classes are being offered in three different sessions: Session I from May 22 to June 30, Session 2 from July 3 to August 11, and Session 3 from May 22 to August 11.
Individuals who are interested in taking a summer course or two, including current college students as well as college graduates, professionals, and commuting high school juniors and seniors (in good academic standing) may sign up at this time. Courses on campus include Nature Journaling, English Composition I and II, Introduction to American Sign Language, Introductory Algebra, College Algebra, and Anatomy and Physiology II (with lab).
Courses that will be offered off campus and online include Accounting Fundamentals; Foundations of Economics; Marketing Fundamentals; Fundamentals of Academic Computing; Personal Financial Management; Operational Finance; Business Law; Methods of Coaching; History of Rock and Roll; Animal Behavior; Human Nutrition; Introduction to Psychology; Lifespan Development; Family Violence; Sociology; and Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Class. The cost for a four-credit course is $1,976 (other than nursing and radiologic sciences). Most of the courses may be audited (non-credit) for $250 (on a space-available basis). High school juniors and seniors may also consider taking classes at a reduced rate or may qualify for two free courses through SVC’s Dual Enrollment options.
