Online and On-Campus Summer Classes Announced at SVC
Southern Vermont College (SVC) will be offering a variety of online and in-classroom options this summer for individuals who want to earn credits toward a degree or explore a topic for fun or professional development. Summer classes are being offered in three different sessions: Session I from May 21 to June 29, Session II from July 2 to August 10, and Session III from May 21 to August 10.
Individuals interested in taking a summer course or two, including current college students as well as college graduates, professionals, and commuting high school juniors and seniors, may sign up at this time. Courses on campus include Anatomy and Physiology II (with lab), English Composition II, Foundations of Economics, Marketing Fundamentals, Nature Journaling, and Organic Chemistry I and II.
Courses that will be offered online include Academic Computing, Accounting Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Operational Finance, English Composition I, Healthcare Insurance, History of Rock and Roll, Human Nutrition, Lifespan Development, Marketing Research, Methods of Coaching, New Ventures (initial meeting with dates and times to be determined), Psychology, Science in the News, Social Problems, Statistical Methods, and Women’s Literature. The cost for a four-credit course is $2,040 (other than nursing and radiologic sciences). High school students may qualify for two free courses through Vermont’s Dual Enrollment options or a reduced rate through SVC’s Dual Enrollment Program.
