Meet SEVEN from 2018: SVC grads and what they’re up to
|Queenie Lyka Garrison ’18|
Major: History and Politics
Hometown: North Bennington, VT
Status: Queenie is currently working for LanguageLine Solutions as an over-the-phone medical interpreter and has been offered a position at USCRI (The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants) as one of their Assistant Case Managers. Queenie completed her internship with USCRI during the spring of her junior year. She begins classes at Johns Hopkins University this fall to pursue a Masters of Arts in Government focusing on democracy studies and governance. She is also studying for the Foreign Service Officer test.
|Melissa Mascari ’18|
Major: Sports Management
Hometown: Saratoga Springs, NY
Status: After graduating from SVC, Melissa has been offered a position at Juniata College as the new full-time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. She also has started graduate school for her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Georgia Southern University.

Major: Business Administration
Hometown: West Springfield, MA
Status: Ryan is currently attending The Fox School of Business at Temple University with the intention of obtaining a Master of Finance in Investment Management. After graduating from the 10-month program, he will pursue a career as an analyst at an asset management or private equity firm.

Major: Human Services
Hometown: Washington Heights, NY
Status: Sharlyne is currently working for the City of New York as a Supervisor in the Summer Youth Employment Program. This fall, Sharlyne will start a Master’s of Social Work Program at Rutgers as a full-time student.
|Chelsea Zukowski ’18|
Hometown: Beacon, NY
Status: Chelsea recently moved to Amsterdam, NY, and is currently working as a registered nurse at an oncology unit at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. This year, Chelsea will be training/studying to become a certified oncology nurse with plans to be certified as a pediatric oncology nurse.
|Niko D’Agnese ’18|
Hometown: Mahopac, NY
Status: After graduation, Niko was hired as an Admission Counselor at Southern Vermont College recruiting students from NY, NH, and VT. He plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology in the near future and eventually a Doctorate degree.
|Kelsey Carrera ’18|
Major: Business Administration & Management
Hometown: Queensbury, NY
Status: Kelsey is currently employed at Morcon Tissue in Cambridge, NY, as the Plant Administrator. Kelsey completed an internship her senior year at Morcon and from there they hired her on full-time. She assists the HR Manager, is in charge of recruitment, and assists the operations staff. Within the next year, she will sit for the SHRM-CP examination to be a certified HR professional.
