Assistant Professor of Psychology

Southern Vermont College seeks a candidate to fill the full-time position of Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin in the 2018-2019 academic year.  The successful candidate will have a commitment to serving students who receive individual attention in a small, student-centered environment, many of whom are the first in their families to attend college.  The incumbent will teach three courses each semester across the curriculum within a laboratory-learning format, joining a faculty committed to excellence in teaching, institutional and community service, and professional scholarship.  The incumbent will also serve on various committees that offer an opportunity to play a significant role in shaping the curriculum and evaluating programs.

Qualifications. A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field is required.  The candidate should demonstrate significant teaching experience and specifically the ability to teach across the psychology and human services curriculum. A history of clinical practice, or other applicable experience in the field, is preferred, particularly with child or adolescent populations.
