Scholarships

Pursuing a college degree is an investment that you make in yourself. Our job at Southern Vermont College is to help you navigate the process and fully understand your investment. At SVC, over 90% of students receive merit scholarships or financial aid. Annually, the College awards over 4 million dollars in institutional funds. Below you will find a list of the merit scholarships and grants for new students entering the College in academic year 2017-2018.

Presidential Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated the highest academic abilities while in high school. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress and is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Everett Scholarship – This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who have demonstrated above average academic ability and great potential for success while in high school. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress and is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Trustees Award – This grant is awarded to qualified students who have the abilities and demonstrated potential for academic success and is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress. This grant is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Opportunity Grant – This grant is awarded to students who have a robust record and promise for success and is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress. This grant is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Transfer Scholarship – This scholarship ranges from $4,000 to $12,000 and is awarded to transfer students based on their academic record. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress and is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Alumni Scholarship – This scholarship is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress and is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.

Good Neighbor Scholarship – This scholarship is renewable for up to four years upon the ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress and is awarded to first-year applicants to the College.
