Southern Vermont College is introducing a new, eight-session program this summer so that aspiring business leaders may earn an E4 Certificate in Organizational Excellence. Based on criteria for the National Malcolm Baldrige Award, often viewed as the highest standards for quality in the industry, the E4 program stands for Efficiency, Effectiveness, Enrichment and Excellence.
Program participants will learn how to help their organizations and enhance competitiveness by focusing on two goals: delivering ever-improving value to customers and improving the overall organizational performance. The program provides the theoretical framework to build solid growth and productivity in business, as well as the skills needed to set an aspiring entrepreneur apart in today’s marketplace. “The E4 Certificate focuses on encouraging a culture of innovation and change,” said SVC McCormick Division of Business chair, Eric Drouart. “And each session offers tools for personal and professional development.”
During a two-month period, program participants will attend four Saturday classes, supplemented with online implementation projects with current employers. The E4 Certificate program will be taught by E4 veteran Len Deneault, Executive Director for MassExcellence and President of the Northeast Center for Performance Excellence, a New England consulting consortium. “The E4 program offers a tremendous opportunity for senior leadership to foster systemic organization-wide improvement,” said Deneault. “This training allows an organization to re-calibrate, re-align, and re-focus on what is really important, increasing momentum across the company, building long-term sustainability and leadership which gives a competitive advantage.”
Sessions one and two of the seminar course, entitled “Enriching Organizational Culture,” will be held on July 17 and 24. Sessions one and two of the seminar course, entitled “Building World-Class Excellence,” will be held on August 14 and 21.
The cost of this certificate course is $2,450. Individual courses can be audited at a cost of $950. For more information or to register for this program, contact the SVC McCormick Division of Business at 802-681-2898 or e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
