Rs330 Radiographic Exposures 4 credits
This course builds upon the concepts learned in Rs230 and is designed to introduce the student to the physical principles governing x-rays, xray production and x-ray beam characteristics as they relate to quality, improved patient care and protection. It will include an in-depth examination of radiographic prime factors and xray interactions with matter. This course introduces the student to the area of radiographic technique, including influencing factors like filtration, beam restriction and grid use. The student is introduced to the fluoroscopic tube, image intensification and the principles associated with dynamic imaging. 4 hours/week - 4 credits. Prerequisite: Rs230.
