Nu360 Nursing Care of Communities 4 credits
In this course, students use the Nursing process, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to develop strategies for the care of vulnerable populations. Assessment of individual and community health risks, health screenings, health education, homelessness, communicable diseases and emergency management planning are included. The course includes online participation postings, a Community Clinical Project Paper, Clinical Journal and 45 hours of preempted community clinical. Offered in an online format. (45 clinical hours are required.)  Prerequisites: ADN, RN license and Nu300 with a minimum grade of C+
