Linda Bell

Hometown: Schenectady, N.Y.
Major: Business Administration/Management
Year: Junior

Nicknamed “Tink” (short for Tinkerbell), Linda found out about Southern Vermont College (SVC) through a friend at Middle School Library in Schenectady, N.Y., where they both loved to read books. She decided to inquire about SVC and came for a visit. “SVC was so picturesque, and it reminded me of ‘Hogwarts’ from the Harry Potter Series,” said Linda.

She connected with her roommate right from the beginning. “Having a great roommate is one of the best things that happened to me at SVC, said Linda. “You find a family when you come to SVC.”
So far, her favorite classes have been Psychology, Financial Accounting and U.S. History.

Besides reading some of her favorite books (by J. K. Rollins, J. R. R. Tolkein and Sherrilyn Kenyon), Linda claims she is SVC’s biggest fan, because she loves watching SVC’s sports team play. In her spare time, she writes poems, sings and dances.

Linda’s goal is to work in the accounting field.Linda believes that individuals entering college should get involved and focus on what is more important.
